Intense flavours, delicious sweetness, a green colour and a generous size mark the Pears of the Protected Designation of Origin Rincón de Soto. Rincón de Soto Pears have a firmer consistency than those grown in other parts of Spain, thereby ensuring higher sugar concentration. Thus, in addition to their unsurpassable flavour, the pears also have a meaty, granule-free pulp. Two additional features that make them unique are their large size and rough skin, darkened by russeting, a natural oxidation from exposure to mists that is highly appreciated by connoisseurs. |
